Low-Price FBA rates
The automatic fee discount that replaced Small and Light — products priced under $10 get reduced FBA fulfillment fees with standard delivery speeds, no enrollment required.
When Amazon retired the Small and Light program in 2023, it replaced enrollment with automatic Low-Price FBA rates: any item priced below the threshold (under $10) is fulfilled at a discounted fee schedule — roughly the standard fee minus a fixed amount — with normal Prime delivery rather than Small and Light's slower promise.
The pricing edge case matters: crossing the $10 line moves the whole fee schedule, so a $9.99-to-$10.49 price test is not a 5% price change, it is a fee-tier change. Model the cliff before repricing cheap SKUs.
The numbers
- Applies automatically to items priced under $10 — no enrollment, standard delivery speeds.
- Replaced the Small and Light program (retired 2023); discount is a reduction off standard FBA rates.
- Price threshold is a fee cliff — crossing $10 reprices fulfillment for every unit.
