IPI (Inventory Performance Index)
Amazon's 0–1000 score of how well you manage FBA inventory — driven by excess stock, sell-through, stranded inventory, and in-stock rate — historically the gatekeeper for storage space.
IPI condenses four behaviors into one number: keeping excess inventory low, sustaining sell-through, fixing stranded listings, and staying in stock on sellers. Amazon has published 400 as a threshold below which storage limits tightened; the capacity-limit system now weighs forecasts more holistically, but the score still reports quarterly and still signals how the network sees you.
Treat the four inputs as the checklist: clear aged stock before it classifies as excess, relist stranded units weekly, and keep replenishable winners in stock. The score follows; so does capacity.
