FBA capacity limits
The monthly cap on how much volume you may hold in FBA, set per storage type — with a Capacity Manager auction to buy more, refunded as credits when the extra space performs.
Amazon grants each account a monthly storage capacity per storage type (standard, oversize, apparel...), estimated from your sales velocity and forecast, published mid-month for the next period in the Capacity Monitor. Inbound shipments that would exceed the cap simply cannot be created — the limit is a wall, not a fee.
Need more? Capacity Manager lets you bid a reservation fee for additional cubic feet; performance credits offset the fee as the space generates sales, so productive requests approach free. The deeper lever is the input: capacity grants follow velocity and inventory health, so sell-through and clean aged-inventory books literally purchase your Q4 headroom.
