Customer Questions & Answers

The Q&A section on every listing — buyers ask, past buyers and sellers answer — a conversion asset, an objection database, and now raw material for Rufus's answers.

The Q&A block accumulates real pre-purchase objections: compatibility, dimensions, use-cases the listing failed to answer. Sellers can (and should) answer with authority; past purchasers get notified to chime in. High-quality answers convert lurkers who never ask.

Work it three ways: answer every question within a day in brand voice; mine questions as a listing to-do list (a repeated question is a bullet or A+ module that failed its job); and remember the machines read it — Rufus cites Q&A content, which makes precise, factual answers a ranking surface nobody prices. Seeding questions is against policy; answering fast is just operations.

The numbers

  • Mechanics: buyer questions notify past purchasers + seller; answers rank by helpfulness.
  • A repeated question = listing content that failed; feed the answer back into bullets/A+.
  • Rufus draws on Q&A — factual answers are machine-read, not just human-read.
