Cubiscan remeasurement
Amazon's automated dimension scans set your fee tier — and when the machine measures your packaging wrong, every unit pays the wrong fee until you file for remeasurement.
Fulfillment centers cubiscan (dimension-scan) products on receipt, and those recorded dimensions — not your spec sheet — drive size-tier assignment and fulfillment fees. Scans err: crushed corners, bagged softness, or a single anomalous unit can tier your product upward and silently tax every subsequent order.
Audit quarterly: compare recorded dimensions (fee preview reports show them) against calipers on real packaged units. Discrepancies go to a remeasurement request via Seller Support with photos and measurements; wins reprice the fee going forward and ground reimbursement claims for the overcharge window. On thin-margin SKUs this audit is found money.
The numbers
- Recorded dims live in fee preview reports; remeasurement runs through a support case with photo evidence.
- A wrong tier taxes every unit — overcharge recovery claims can reach back through the mismeasured window.
