Conversion share (ABA)
The companion metric to click share: each top-3 product's share of a query's total conversions. When your conversion share beats your click share, the listing over-delivers — bid accordingly.
ABA reports, per search term, what fraction of that query's purchases went to each of the three most-clicked products. Divergence between click share and conversion share is where the money is: conversion share above click share means shoppers who see the listing buy it disproportionately — a green light to bid harder and take more traffic.
The reverse pattern — clicks without conversions — flags a listing that attracts and disappoints. Before spending another dollar on that query, fix what the click discovers: price versus the comparison set, review depth, or a gap between the main image's promise and the detail page's reality.
The numbers
- Reported for the top 3 clicked ASINs per query in Top Search Terms.
- Conversion share > click share = under-bought listing (bid up); click share > conversion share = leaking listing (fix before scaling spend).
