CPR (Cerebro Product Rank)

Helium 10's estimate of how many units, sold through search over about eight days, it takes to reach page 1 for a keyword — a launch-budget calculator disguised as a metric.

CPR models the launch math every giveaway-era seller ran by hand: the approximate unit velocity, attributed to a specific search term over roughly an eight-day window, associated with breaking onto page 1. It scales with the keyword's volume and competitiveness.

Use it to budget launches honestly — CPR × contribution margin ≈ the rank-buying investment a keyword demands via deep-discount traffic or aggressive exact-match PPC — and to pick launch keywords you can actually afford: mid-volume terms with attainable CPR beat prestige terms whose CPR exceeds your inventory. It is a model, not physics; treat it as sizing, not prophecy.

The numbers

  • Live read (Helium 10, Aug 2026): 'yoga mat' CPR ≈ 694 units over 8 days — the scale of velocity page 1 implies on a saturated head term.
  • Budgeting heuristic: CPR × per-unit contribution ≈ minimum rank-investment for that keyword.
