Selling plans (Professional vs. Individual)
The $39.99/month versus $0.99/item fork — and the feature wall behind it: Featured Offer eligibility, advertising, feeds, and every serious program live on the Professional side.
The Individual plan charges $0.99 per item sold with no monthly fee; Professional costs $39.99/month and unlocks the actual selling toolkit: Featured Offer eligibility, advertising, bulk feeds and reports, category approvals, B2B features, and API access. The break-even arithmetic (40 units/month) is a distraction — the feature wall is the real divide.
Individual fits exactly one profile: testing the waters below 40 units with zero ambition to advertise or win the Buy Box. Everyone else pays the $39.99 as table stakes — running a launch on Individual to save a month's fee costs more in forfeited Featured Offer placement than it ever saves.
The numbers
- Individual: $0.99/item, no monthly fee — but no Featured Offer eligibility, no ads, no feeds/API.
- Professional: $39.99/month, unlocks the full toolkit; arithmetic break-even at 40 units/month understates the gap.
