Seller feedback (vs. product reviews)

The 1–5 star rating of you as a seller — not the product — feeding ODR and Featured Offer standing; the rating sellers forget exists until it costs them the Buy Box.

Seller feedback rates the transaction: shipping speed, item as described, service. It is separate from product reviews, capped to one per order, and visible on your storefront profile. It feeds seller-performance inputs to Featured Offer eligibility, and negative feedback (1–2 stars) is an ODR defect.

Amazon strikes feedback that is actually a product review or that concerns FBA fulfillment — a one-click removal request most sellers never file. Work the removals weekly, respond publicly to what stands, and watch patterns: repeated 'arrived late' on merchant-fulfilled orders is an operations alarm, not a customer mood.

The numbers

  • One feedback per order, 1–5 stars, account-level (not product-level).
  • Strikeable when it reviews the product or an FBA-caused issue — request removal via Feedback Manager.
  • Negative (1–2 star) feedback is one of the three ODR defect types.
