Non-partnered (own) carrier inbound
Shipping into FBA with your own forwarder or carrier — full control over rates and routing, in exchange for owning tracking entry, appointment booking, and every failure between port and dock.
Choosing a non-partnered carrier in Send to Amazon means your freight, your rules: any forwarder, any consolidation, any routing. The obligations transfer with the control — tracking or PRO numbers entered manually, LTL/FTL delivery appointments booked by your carrier through Carrier Central, and carrier compliance (registered with Amazon for floor-loaded containers) verified before the truck rolls.
It is the default for international door-to-FBA freight (your DDP forwarder delivers; Amazon partners cover domestic legs only) and for anyone whose negotiated rates beat PCP. The discipline points: appointment lead times stretch brutally in Q4 — book the moment the vessel departs, not when the container clears — and missed appointments or unregistered carriers turn into refused trucks at the FC gate.
