SAFE-T claims
The seller's appeal lane for unfair refunds — when Amazon customer service refunds outside policy on a seller-fulfilled order, SAFE-T is where you claim the money back.
SAFE-T (Seller Assurance for E-commerce Transactions) lets sellers claim reimbursement when Amazon issues a refund it should not have charged to you — buyer kept the item, returned a different or damaged item, refunded outside the return window, or return-shipping charged wrongly. It applies to seller-fulfilled orders (FBA refund disputes run through FBA reimbursement lanes instead).
Deadlines are short and evidence decides outcomes: file within the claim window with photos, serial numbers, tracking, and order-level documentation. Win rates on well-documented claims are meaningful — which makes a templated evidence pack and a weekly filing habit the difference between a policy and a benefit.
The numbers
- Scope: seller-fulfilled orders where Amazon-issued refunds broke policy (item kept, wrong item returned, out-of-window).
- Short filing windows after the refund event; documentation quality decides outcomes.
- FBA equivalents run through FBA reimbursement processes, not SAFE-T.
