Amazon Renewed

The certified-refurbished program — a gated marketplace for professionally refurbished products with mandated warranties, and the legitimate lane for selling refurb at scale.

Renewed listings sell professionally refurbished, inspected products under the Renewed badge with a required minimum warranty (typically 90 days). Enrollment is gated: invoices demonstrating meaningful refurbished purchase volume, quality processes, and for some categories per-brand approval.

For electronics operators it opens returns-recovery economics — refurbish, certify, resell — and for brands it is a channel-control question: your own Renewed presence beats third parties defining your refurb price floor. Renewed items get their own offers on Renewed ASINs, separate from new-condition listings.

The numbers

  • Gated enrollment: refurb supply invoices (Amazon has cited ~$50,000 in 90 days for electronics tiers), quality bar, per-category rules.
  • Minimum warranty (typically 90 days) and the Renewed Guarantee back every sale.
