Amazon Global Logistics (AGL)
Amazon's own ocean freight line — book FCL/LCL from Chinese ports straight into the FBA network at Amazon-negotiated rates, with inbound treated as Amazon-controlled supply chain.
AGL sells cross-border freight the way Amazon sells everything: book containers (full or shared) from origin ports, Amazon handles ocean leg, customs coordination, and drayage into fulfillment centers. Pricing is often competitive with mid-market forwarders, and the shipment data plugs natively into Send to Amazon.
Trade-offs practitioners report: pricing shines in soft freight markets and lags specialist forwarders in tight ones; flexibility (rerouting, holds, split destinations) is thinner than a good freight partner offers. Many China-origin sellers run AGL as one lane in a two-forwarder strategy rather than the whole supply chain.
