Operator glossary
Amazon DSP (the term)
Amazon's demand-side platform: programmatic access to Amazon's audiences and inventory on and off Amazon — retargeting at scale, judged properly only through TACoS and NTB.
Amazon DSP buys display, video, and audio programmatically using Amazon's first-party shopping signals — the audiences no other platform has. It reaches on-Amazon placements and off-Amazon exchanges, and unlike sponsored ads it can run for brands that do not even sell on Amazon.
Managed-service DSP carries budget minimums; agency seats (like ours) remove them and keep the same operator who runs your sponsored ads in control of frequency and audience overlap. The failure mode is impression theater — reach dashboards standing in for incrementality. We run it inside the same TACoS discipline as everything else; the full methodology is on our DSP service page.
